Description
The building comprises a row of dwelling houses, numbered 55 to 82, located on Cornwall Gardens in the SW7 district. Constructed between 1863 and 1877, they were designed by Thomas Cundy III, who served as the estate surveyor. The houses are four storeys high, including an attic and basement, with each property featuring a three-window facade. The exterior is stuccoed, with channelled detailing to the ground floor. Ionic porches adorn the entrances. A continuous balustrade runs along the roofline, and the first-floor windows are round-headed. Consoled cornices are present above the second-floor windows, with pediments over some of the central windows. The attic windows are segmental, and a dentil cornice sits above the third floor. Area railings are present. The building is an integral part of the Cornwall Gardens layout.
