Description

A symmetrical pair of large houses, dating to the early 1880s and designed by J T Smith. They are built in a Free French Renaissance style, constructed of gault brick with elaborate stucco dressings. The houses are four storeys high, with a roof storey and basement. Each house has two bays facing Cornwall Gardens; the outer windows are segmental, and the inner windows are squared, and all rise three storeys. The third-floor windows are arched and paired with shafting. A cornice runs along the eaves. Tall slated mansard roofs, topped with ironwork finials, feature on each house. The return and rear elevations are also noteworthy. Area railings are present.
