Description
The Drayton Arms Public House is a late 19th-century building located on Old Brompton Road. It is constructed of purple brick and buff terracotta, featuring three storeys plus a roof storey. The facade facing Old Brompton Road has three windows, while there is one window on the return to Drayton Gardens. The ground floor showcases round arches supported by "Jacobean" pilasters that are moulded in relief. Each bay has two-storey oriel windows, with round-arched windows on the first floor and square-headed windows on the second floor. A heavy cornice and a balustraded parapet adorn the top of the building, along with pedimented dormers in the mansard roof. The building is noted for its finely moulded relief decoration and remains in unspoilt condition.
