Description

No. 44 Tite Street is a house built between 1878 and 1880, designed by Edward William Godwin for Frank Miles. The building is brick-built with a tiled roof, and extends over three storeys and an attic, with a basement. It incorporates a 40-foot studio on the top floor. The second-floor windows are tall, intended for the studio, and are topped by a Flemish-style gable. A canted bay window is present on the first floor, with balconies to the side and above it. Behind a brick parapet is a Mansard roof. The composition of the building is considered attractive.
