Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of houses at 13-23 Ovington Gardens, London. The terrace is symmetrical and originally comprised 10 houses, with a further three houses in the centre, numbered 17 to 19, that project slightly forward. The first 10 houses are three storeys high with a basement and have slated mansard roofs, each with two windows. They are built of stucco. The doorways have square heads, and iron balconies are present on the first-floor windows. The central three houses are four storeys high, with one window each, and feature Doric porches. A stucco balustrade runs along the first floor of the central houses, and No. 18 is distinguished by paired pilasters and a pediment. Iron area railings are also present. The group of houses contributes to the group value of Ovington Square.
