Description
A terrace of twelve houses, numbers 41 to 52, located on Queen's Gate Gardens, constructed in the mid-19th century. The buildings are stuccoed, with a basement and five storeys, topped with a slated mansard roof. Each house originally had three windows. They feature Ionic porticos, largely in pairs, and two-storeyed bay windows. A stuccoed balustrade adorns the first-floor balcony. The buildings have a small modillion cornice below the top storey, a large, enriched modillion cornice, and a balustrade. The balustrade is cut away to accommodate an extra full storey on houses numbers 45, 47, 48, 50, and 51. Number 41 has a low, full storey above the cornice. The end houses project forward and feature rusticated quoins. Cast iron area railings are present.
