Description
No. 61 Cadogan Square is a block of mansion flats dating to 1879, built in a Flemish Renaissance style. The building is constructed of red brick with a slate roof and has five storeys, a roof storey, and a basement. Situated on a corner site, the main facade is nine windows wide, with the left return having five windows. The main entrance is located to the right of the main elevation, accessed via a projecting brick porch featuring Corinthian pilasters and an arched entrance. Windows are primarily segmental-headed, with semi-circular heads to those on the first floor. A corner oriel window extends from the second to the third floors. Dormer windows are present in the roof, three of which have pediments. The windows are sash windows, some with timber mullions and transoms. Tall brick stacks are visible. The building incorporates carved brickwork, iron balconies on the second floor, and cast and wrought iron area railings. It is listed for group value.
