Description
This is a terrace of houses, built between 1839 and 1844 by George Basevi. The terrace includes numbers 45 to 51 (consecutive) and number 52, although number 52 is not included in the details referenced by the listing. The buildings are constructed of brick, with a rusticated stucco finish to the ground floor. They are three storeys and have an attic and basement. Each house has a Doric porch, and a continuous balcony with iron railings runs along the front. The first-floor windows are set within stucco architraves. Numbers 44 and 45 project forward, featuring corner pilasters that rise through the first and second storeys.
