Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 1-9, located on Warwick Gardens in London. The terrace is four storeys high, with a basement level. Each house originally had two windows. The ground floor is faced with channelled stucco, and features round-headed doorways and window openings. A balcony is positioned in front of the first-floor windows. A stucco cornice runs above the second floor, and a stuccoed third-floor/attic was likely added later. Houses number 3 to 9 have brickwork between the ground floor and the cornice, although number 9 is painted to resemble stucco. Number 1 is completely faced with stucco and projects slightly forward, featuring round-headed windows on the first floor and a pediment above the attic. To the north, a three-storey wing, semi-circular in plan, incorporates the main entrance. Original iron balconies and area railings are still present.
