Description
Earls Terrace is a row of houses built between 1800 and 1810 by Changier. The terrace comprises 25 houses, each with four storeys and a basement. They are constructed of brown brick with a stuccoed ground floor and a stucco band at the level of the top-floor windows. The doorways are round-headed, featuring fanlights and spearhead area railings. The houses are set back from the road behind a private drive with ironwork gates, piers and small one-storey stucco lodges. Numbers 9, 10, and 11 are modern replicas. Number 25 has a separate entrance outside the drive and includes a porch with Doric columns “in antis”.
