Description

Charlton Cottage is a late 18th-century house of two storeys and three windows, with a blank bay on the left. The building has a slated mansard roof with three original dormers. It is constructed of brown brick, featuring a brick dentil cornice and a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set within gauged brick flat arches. The front door, now within a replaced Tuscan doorcase with a pediment, was originally a six-panel door. A single-storey projection extends from the left bay. The property forms a group with numbers 581 to 585 (odd) and the surrounding walls.
