Description
This is an early 19th century terrace of fifteen houses, numbered 1 to 15, located on the west side of Queensbridge Road in London. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and has two windows. The houses are constructed of stock brick with a parapet. Number 1 has undergone some rebuilding. A horizontal band runs along the first-floor window sills. The basements are stuccoed. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within stucco surrounds and have gauged flat brick arches above. Long first-floor windows are accompanied by cast iron balconies featuring a pattern of gothic arches. Six steps, with wrought-iron handrails, lead up to six-panel doors framed by reeded architraves, which are decorated with paterae at the corners. Fanlights, two of which are patterned, are set beneath round, gauged brick arches. Cast iron area railings are present at all properties except numbers 1 and 7. Numbers 1 to 15 form a cohesive group.
