Description
24 and 26 Curtain Road is a pair of buildings located in EC2. Number 24 dates from the early 18th century and is three storeys tall with an attic, featuring two windows. It has a rounded gambrel roof that is tiled and includes a dormer. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a parapet front. The later sash windows are topped with gauged segmental arches. The ground floor has an early to mid-18th century shop front, which has slightly altered glazing.
Number 26 has the appearance of an early 19th-century house, though it may have an older core. It is also three storeys tall with an attic and two windows. This building is made of stock brick and features a parapet, a slated mansard roof with a dormer, and gauged near-flat brick arches above modern plate glass windows. The ground floor has a mid to late 19th-century shop front.
