Description
Nos 140 and 142 on Homerton High Street are a pair of mid to late 18th century buildings, each with three storeys and a basement, featuring three windows. They are constructed of pinkish brick and have a stone-coped parapet. The buildings have gauged near-flat red brick arches above replaced sash windows that include glazing bars. There is a band on the first floor. The doors consist of four fielded panels and two beaded panels, topped with an enriched cornice head that extends to form the impost of a moulded architrave and the capital of engaged Doric columns. The entablature includes triglyph friezes, moulded and mutuled cornices, and an open pediment.
