Description
Number 10 is a house built around 1766, with some alterations. It is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick and features a stone cornice at the third floor level. The building has four storeys and a cellar, with three windows on the front and a three-window return to Streatham Street. The ground floor includes an early 20th-century cement shopfront with three round-headed openings and Doric pilasters that support a simple entablature. There are gauged red brick arches above recessed sash windows, most of which retain their original glazing bars. The first floor has cast-iron balconies, and the building is topped with a parapet. On the return, there is an early 20th-century prostyle Doric portico with a pediment that is surmounted by a bust. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are attached cast-iron railings on the return.
