Description

Number 116 is a terraced house that partly serves as the vehicle entrance to Charles Place, built around 1820 to 1825. The building is constructed of stock brick with a channelled stucco ground floor. It has three storeys and a basement, featuring two windows for the house and one above the vehicle entrance. The round-arched entrance includes a panelled door and a fanlight. The first-floor windows are round-arched with unhorned sashes, while the upper floors have sashes with gauged brick heads. There are cast-iron balconies on the first floor, and wider 4 x 4 sashes are set in a shallow segmental-arched recess above the vehicle entrance. The building is topped with a parapet. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the property are cast-iron railings with spearhead finials surrounding the area.
