Description
Stanchils Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from 1775, as indicated by a tablet above the entrance door. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring five windows. It is constructed of red brick and has a white brick modillion cornice, with parapet gables that include arched recesses. The roof is slated, and there are axial red brick chimneys along with segmental-headed dormers that have small-pane sash windows. The small-pane sash windows are topped with flit-arched heads. The entrance features a six-panel door with an oblong fanlight, and there is an early 19th-century open trellis porch with a sweeping hipped copper roof.
