Description

Number 8 Buttermarket is a shop that was originally built in the early 19th century and once had living accommodation above. It is now used for storage. The building is timber-framed and roughcast, with a roof covered in 20th-century Roman tiles. It stands three storeys high and has a cellar. The front features a two-window range with small-paned sash windows. The ground floor has a double-fronted shop front that was added in the 20th century. Although there are no notable internal features remaining, Number 8 is included in the listing for its group value as part of the town's architecture.
