Description

The White House, formerly known as the White Horse Inn, is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 17th to 18th century, with later additions on the east end. It underwent renovations and alterations in the 20th century. The central part and the east additions are two storeys with attics, while the west part is one storey with attics. The windows are 20th-century casements, and the roofs are tiled from the 20th century. The central section features a mansard roof with one gabled dormer, and the west section has two gabled dormers. The building is part of a group that includes the Church of All Saints, Almshouses, The Old Vicarage, White Horse House, Nos 1 to 3 (consecutive), and Sunnyside.
