Description

Brookhouse Farmhouse is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house designed in an L-shaped plan, featuring a wing that projects to the south. The building has two storeys and is adorned with iron casement windows that have leaded lights. The roof is tiled and includes an original chimney stack with grouped saw-toothed shafts set on a square base. There is a 19th century brick addition at the west end of the house. Brookhouse Farmhouse is part of a group that includes Street Farmhouse, Manor Cottage, Crabbe House, Brooklyn House, and the Plumbers Arms Public House, all located in the Parish of Denston.
