Description

The Nook and the adjoining house are early 17th century structures made of timber framing and plaster, featuring an 18th century gabled wing that projects at the front. The buildings have one storey and attics, with casement windows. The projecting wing includes a notable 18th century shop bow window with glazing bars. The roof is thatched and has two gabled dormers that are tiled, along with a red brick chimney stack that has two octagonal shafts on a rectangular base. The Nook, along with Sunny Cottages (Nos 1 and 2), the cottage immediately north of The Nook, and The Old Post Office and Old Post Office Cottage, form a group.
