Description

The Affleck Arms Public House is a building dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The structure is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched roof that has gable chimneys made of red brick. The windows are 19th-century casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. There is a pair of 19th-century half-glazed panelled entrance doors leading to an open one-storey porch. This porch has a gabled plain tiled roof with carved barge boards and a spike finial, along with lattice work infill in the gable. The porch is supported by carved posts that have arched openings between them.
