Description
Farriers is a former farmhouse dating from the 16th century, built in two phases. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and features four windows, which include 19th and 20th century casements. One of the first-floor windows is a diamond-mullioned design that has been opened out, while others are still blocked and can be seen from the inside. The entrance has a boarded half-door. There are two axial stacks, one internal and one located at the left gable. The interior was modernised and altered in the mid-20th century, but it retains some good timbering. There is also one arched doorway on the ground floor, and the section to the right of the stack has a queen post roof.
