Description
The United Reformed Church is a Nonconformist Chapel built by the Wesleyans in 1844 and later acquired by the Congregationalists. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. The facade is designed in a simple Classical style with red brick, accented by paired Doric pilasters in white brick at the corners. The gable is outlined in bands of white brick. There are three windows, which are small-paned sashes set in cased frames with shallow reveals, wedge lintels, and plain projecting sills. The entrance is accessed by steps leading up to a Greek Doric portico, which has panelled entrance doors with two leaves.
