Description

Whitton Post Office is an early 19th century house located on Norwich Road. The building features red brick at the rear and a roughcast facade at the front. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The Post Office, numbered 712, has double-hung sash windows without glazing bars, while the adjacent property, numbered 714, has modern casement windows. The ground floor of No 712 includes a 20th-century shop front. The roofs are tiled and feature a modillion eaves cornice, along with a central chimney stack that has a panel with a date, which is partially worn away but appears to read 180?. The building is included for its group value.
