Description
35 Key Street, formerly known as "The Bull" Public House, is a building primarily from the 16th and 17th centuries that was refronted in the 19th century with red brick. The original structure features the typical layout of an Ipswich merchant's house from that period, consisting of an L-shaped plan with a wide front range and a rear wing. The front block mainly dates from the 16th century, although there are remnants of medieval framing at the eastern end. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The ground storey windows are three-light, accompanied by narrow side lights. A central doorway features a semi-circular arched head. The roof is tiled.
