Description
This is a former manor house dating back to the 16th century, with later additions. The main part of the house has an L-shaped plan, likely originally two separate dwellings that were later joined together with a single-story block. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a brick gable end to the south wing, and a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The north wing has a three-window front; the ground-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, while the first-floor windows are three-light casements with square leaded panes. A doorway features a half-glazed door, a rectangular fanlight, and a simple wooden hood. The south wing has various casement windows, mostly with leaded panes. An external brick stack has two octagonal flues with moulded bases. Attached to the north wing is a further wing containing a 17th-century gabled dormer with pierced drop finials and a carved lintel.
