Description

This is a late 17th-century, two-storey timber-framed building, which has been plastered and raised in height during the 18th century. It comprises three properties: Hales (number 26), Pulham (number 28), and Cook (number 30). The roof is tiled with slated eaves. The windows are sash windows set in flush frames. Number 26 has an early 19th-century wooden shop front with modern glazing. Numbers 28 and 30 feature cornices. Number 28 has a two-panel bolection moulded door. Numbers 26 and 28 both have wooden shop fronts with a central entrance. Number 30 has a small wood-cased shop window and an entrance with a two-panel door, the upper part of which is glazed. The building is part of a group alongside the Crown Hotel and properties numbered 8 to 34 (even).
