Description
The bridge and revetments to the south arm of the moat surrounding Playford Hall date from the early 18th century, with a possible core from the late 16th century, as the moat itself is of late 16th century or earlier origin. The structure is made of red brick. The bridge features brick parapets with limestone copings and has a pair of 4-centred arches that were renewed in the 19th or 20th century, having originally been semi-circular. The parapets are splayed out and connect to revetments along the south bank, which extend for a short distance along the east and west arms of the moat.
