Description
The Vicarage, located on St John's Hill, is a building probably constructed around 1845. It is primarily two stories tall and made of yellow brick. The plain front faces southwest and features an arched central entrance with a divided fanlight above, along with a sash window on the first floor. The roof is slate, and there is an eaves band and a plinth. The garden front has two windows, with three-light sash windows that include glazing bars and flat arches at the ground floor. The wide eaves soffit complements a later one-story addition on the right, which has a splay bay window. Inside, there is a cut string stair with square balusters. The property is enclosed by red brick garden walls and has group value with St John's Church and Alma House.
