Description

Penrith House, located at 58 Cumberland Street, was built in 1852, although it retains an early 19th-century facade and has an 18th-century structure behind it. This three-storey building is constructed of Suffolk white brick and features a plinth. The roof is covered with slates and has a wooden eaves band. The front has three sash windows with glazing bars, flush frames, and flat arches. The entrance is marked by a six-panel door flanked by Doric fluted pilasters and topped with a pedimented entablature. There is also a side door on the left with a plain frame. Penrith House is part of a group with Nos 58 to 62 (even).
