Description
Ayres End is a mainly 17th century timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof, which has been restored and renovated. The timber framing is fully exposed on the south front. The building consists of one storey and attics, featuring casement windows and three modern gabled dormers. There is a chimney stack with diagonal shafts that has been rebuilt. The eastern range consists of red brick, single-storey buildings from various periods. The building at the east end is mostly rebuilt but retains some exposed timbers on its east end, and it has a thatched roof. At the west end, there is a 19th century building with a pantiled roof, and between these structures is a modern building.
