Description
The Eight Bells Inn is a building that has undergone significant alterations and has later additions. It is likely from the 17th century and features two storeys with a timber frame and plastered walls, topped with tiled roofs that have been re-roofed. The inn has a cross wing at the west end and another gable that projects at the front. The upper storey of the cross wing extends out on curved brackets, and there is a 18th-century bay window on the ground floor. Most of the windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Additionally, there is a 19th-century wing at the east end. The Eight Bells Inn, along with Nos 66 to 72 (even) and Nos 76 to 90 (even), forms a group of buildings.
