Description

Fengate is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Fen Street in Nayland with Wissington. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied across the entire front, supported by curved brackets. It features a three-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance includes a six-panel door, with the upper panels glazed, framed by a moulded wood architrave. The roof is tiled and has a gambrel shape at the east end.
