Description

The Church of St Mary is a small church from the early 14th century, featuring a west tower made of flint and stone, which has a castellated parapet and stone bands at the upper part. The nave and chancel are faced in cement, with a tiled roof over the nave and a slate roof over the chancel. The south porch displays 14th-century cusped bargeboards on the gable. Inside, the roof includes 14th-century tie beams supported by arched braces and crown posts. The font dates back to the 12th century and features arcading. There are six 17th-century bench ends with poppyheads, and on the north wall, remnants of original wall painting can be seen. The church is recognized for its architectural and historical significance.
