Description

Brickhouse Farmhouse is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed building featuring exposed timber-framing and brick nogging, with a tiled roof. It has been restored and stands two storeys tall. The upper storey jetties out on the north front, showcasing remains of shafts and capitals along with exposed joists. The south front likely jettied in a similar manner but is built out on the ground storey in red brick. The farmhouse includes casement windows, some of which are original and have been restored, along with an original doorway that features a carved head. Inside, the building retains exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists, as well as a straight staircase with quartered log risers and treads, which is likely original.
