Description

Nos 14 to 16 Church Street are a group of buildings dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, contributing positively to the character of the street although not possessing particular individual architectural merit. The frontages are 18th century in style. Nos 14 and 15 have roofs tiled, while No 16 has a slate roof. The buildings are timber-framed and plastered. No 14 features a small plaster eaves cornice and two gabled attic dormers. It has a three-window range of mullion transom casement windows at the first floor. No 15 has a painted brick front with three sash windows containing glazing bars. No 16 also has a painted brick front with a parapet and two sash windows with glazing bars. The buildings are situated in a prominent position opposite All Saints' Church. Nos 14 to 25 (consec), the School Hall, and Nos 26 and 27, as well as Nos 29 and 30, form a group.
