Description

The Rectory is an 18th-century house located on Norwich Road in Tacolneston. It is constructed of painted brick with a steep slate roof featuring coped gable ends. The house is two storeys high with an attic, originally comprising three bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars; the ground floor has two square bays each with a hipped slate roof. A central doorcase is pilastered and topped with a pediment, sheltering a fielded panel door. Three modern flat-roofed dormers have been added to the attic. An early 19th-century wing extends from the north side, also of painted brick with a slate roof and gabled ends. This wing has two storeys and one window, along with a glazed and panelled door.
