Description

Shape Cottage is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building located at right angles to Norwich Road in Dickleburgh. The exterior is roughcast with a steep pantile roof featuring gable ends. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, forming a long range. The windows are all modern casements, and there are modern raised eaves at the far end from the road, along with a modern attic storey. The entrance features a pilastered doorway next to a window with a continuous cornice. The end of the building facing the road has an early 20th century shopfront with a cornice and modern casements above. Inside, the cottage has exposed timber-framing, although much of it has been altered.
