Description
Rookery Farmhouse is a farmhouse located in Windfarthing, likely dating from the 17th to early 18th century. The south-west range features a timber-frame structure that has been encased in buff brick in the late 19th century, with a red brick rear. It has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and a central brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with late 19th-century, three-light casement windows that have keyblocked heads. There is also a central two-storey gabled porch, which is a late 19th-century addition. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered ceiling beams.
The north-east wing of the farmhouse is from the late 16th century and is timber-framed, faced in buff brick, and also has a steep pantile roof. The interior of the ground floor room features a heavily moulded ceiling beam and joists.
