Description
This is a 17th-century timber-frame house, which was later faced in red brick during the late 19th century. It has a steep roof covered in black glazed pantiles with gabled ends. A gabled cross wing projects on the south side, and a brick chimney stack is positioned off-centre. The house has two stories and an attic, with three windows on the front elevation and one window in the cross wing. The windows are late 19th and modern casements, all with brick dripmoulds. A two-storied bay window is incorporated into the cross wing, and a late 19th-century gabled porch sits in front of the chimney stack. Inside the cross wing, the ceiling features ovolo-moulded chamfered beams with carved stops. The main range similarly exhibits chamfered ceiling beams with carved stops.
