Algar House is an early 18th-century house constructed of rendered brick. It features a steep gable-ended roof covered with new tiles and has paired eaves modillions. The building is two storeys high and consists of five bays. It has large sash windows with glazing bars set in exposed casings. On the first floor, there is an off-centre right elliptical-headed window with a modern glazed porch below, which is adorned with pilasters and an entablature. The house has brick chimney stacks located at both ends and in the centre. At the rear, there is an early 18th-century brick gabled wing that is off-centre, featuring old mullion and transom casements with leaded panes, along with an end brick chimney stack.
