Description

Tasburgh war memorial is situated in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, which is a Grade I-listed building. It stands next to the churchyard gate and is near other Grade II-listed structures. The memorial is located within the scheduled area of the Camp in the village, which is thought to be a univallate hillfort.

The memorial features a rough-hewn granite monolith with a smooth panel on the front, where the inscriptions are displayed. The text is made of applied metal letters and reads: "IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF TASBURGH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919 (12 NAMES) 1939-1945 (NAME) THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE."
