Description

Caltofts is a large house largely dating to the late 19th century, although it incorporates part of a 16th-century timber-frame structure. The house is built with brick, originally stuccoed and with applied sham timber framing. It has a black glazed pantile roof and a gabled design with an asymmetrical plan. The interior features some exposed timber framing, ornamented plaster pilasters around the stair window, and a panelled room on the ground floor. A brick chimney stack is also present.
