Description

This is a 17th-century timber-framed building with an 18th-century red brick facade, distinguished by a high parapet and a modillion cornice. It is three storeys high and has three windows on each floor. The second floor features three small sash windows with glazing bars; the first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, two of which have margin lights; and the ground floor originally contained a central doorcase with fluted pilasters, a dentilled cornice on console brackets, a moulded architrave, and a rectangular fanlight with tracery, though the door is now modern. The ground floor now has two large, modern bowed windows with glazing bars. The steeply pitched roof is covered in black glazed pantiles with gable ends. To the right is a carriageway containing old joists and a pointer head above a casement window with leaded panes. A long, plastered wing dating back to the 17th century extends to the rear of the building.
