Description
Orchard Cottage is a 17th and 18th century range of cottages, now combined into a single dwelling. It is a plastered timber-frame building with a thatched roof, including gabled ends. The right-hand (east) end of the roof has a higher ridge and a brick stack set off-centre. The thatch slopes over dormers. The cottage is one storey high with an attic. It has a four-window front, featuring 19th and 20th century casement windows. A simple, modern plank door is present. Inside, the ceilings feature stopped chamfer ceiling beams with run-out stops.
