Description

Empton House is a 17th-century timber-framed house that has been plastered. It features a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and has brick chimney stacks located near both the east and west ends. The building is two storeys high with an attic, which includes a window in the gable end. There are four widely spaced windows, which are three-light 19th-century ovolo-moulded mullion casements, with drip moulds over the ground floor windows. The entrance includes a 19th-century door and a side window, both with a drip mould above. Additionally, there is a later two-storey one-bay wing on the west end, which is also plastered and has a steep pantile roof.
