Description

Old Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has now lost its farming function. It dates from the 17th century, was enlarged in the 18th century, and altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and flint, with pantile roofs that are black glazed on the eastern sides. The original house, which is aligned east-west, is now identifiable as a hipped two-storey block.

On the north side, there is a panelled door beneath a flat hood, with a 19th-century sash window to its right. Above this sash window is a three-light ovolo moulded 17th-century mullioned window. The eastern gable of this block features two late 18th-century sashes on each floor, all with glazing bars. A moulded timber eaves cornice runs below the hipped roof, which has a rebuilt panelled ridge stack.

Extending south is an 18th-century three-bay two-storey range. This range has late 18th-century sashes on each floor of the two left-hand bays, also with glazing bars. The right-hand bay features early 19th-century tripartite sashes, which also have glazing bars, though the lower sash has been altered by the insertion of a top-hung casement. The eaves cornice continues along this range, which has a gabled roof with a ridge stack and a south internal gable end stack.

To the north of the hipped 17th-century block is a 19th-century two-storey cross wing, which has sash windows with glazing bars and horns.
