Description
Dyson's Farmhouse is a 17th-century house featuring a plastered timber frame. It has a steep gable-ended roof covered in corrugated iron, with a jettied west end gable. The brick chimney stack is off centre and located at the east end of the building. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with four widely spaced windows that include 19th-century and modern casements. There is a short two-storey wing to the north, which has a jettied gable supported by brackets. This wing was probably originally a porch at the staircase, although it is noted that it does not currently contain a staircase. The doorway in front of the chimney features a four-centred head with carved spandrels and a plank door.
