Description

Crossways Restaurant is a 17th century timber-framed house located on Ipswich Road in Scole. The building is plastered and features a front divided into moulded plaster panels, along with a moulded eaves cornice. It has a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys tall with an attic. On the first floor, there are five widely spaced modern casements with three and four lights. The ground floor has four 4-light casements with leaded panes, and to the right, there is a fielded panel door. The building also includes three 19th or 20th century gabled dormers with shaped barge boards. There are later and modern wings at the rear.
